Art Time

We have been needing a regular schedule in our lives. So we started doing our own little "school days". I have noticed that Kadee is less likely to get into trouble - or as we say, make bad choices - when we have a routine schedule. So our week looks like this:

Monday - Laundry Day

Tuesday - School Day

Wednesday - School Day

Thursday - School Day

Friday - Cleaning Day

Saturday  - "Play with Daddy Day"

Every day starts with breakfast. Then a 2 mile walk (sometimes more), except for Saturdays. I attempt to run a mile on Saturday mornings. We walk to a playground, play around for a while, and then walk home.

On "school days" it looks like this:

8:00 breakfast

8:30 walk

9:00 playground

9:45 - 10:00 get home, read a scripture story

10:15 Kadee picks what we should learn about. An animal, plant, place, and food.

10:45 Snack/Jackson goes down for a nap (that one is important)

11:00 Art time and "word of the day"

12:30 Lunch (Well... lunch is usually whenever Spencer gets home, but that's pretty close.)

After that we usually just play outside.

I have loved it though. It's been better for all of us. But Kadee's favorite thing is definitely art time. I'm glad we have discovered how much she loves painting and drawing and creating. I love doing it too and since that's when Jackson is asleep, it's perfect for me and Kadee. We've done some great art times and have amassed a good collection on our "art wall".
