Almost There

This pregnancy was going great until the beginning of May when I found out I have gestational diabetes really badly. Giving myself that first insulin shot was by far the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I sat there and sobbed and sobbed looking at the needle in my hand for almost 45 minutes. Spencer was very patient and just sat with me waiting. He even offered to do it for me but I had to figure it out before school the next day. So I finally managed it. Sadly, it gets a little easier as you go.

We're keeping a close eye on my sugar and have been doing pretty well. We slowed down baby Kadee's growth rate a bit so that's good. And I haven't been gaining anything so I think that's good too. We're at a point where my doctor has decided to induce me at 39 weeks instead of 40. We have two appointments every week, one for me and one ultrasound. Things have been okay though.

Spencer has been wanting me to take it easy this week. We're a little concerned about Kadee coming too soon. Last week I was already dialated to 3 centimeters and my doctor has been gone this week so we really didn't want anything to happen yet. Today while I was taking it easy, I caught Kadee moving around quite a bit.
