Eggstravaganza :)

Today was so much fun! We spent hours in Orem decorating Easter Eggs with Heather, Caulene and Dana. We brought the eggs. They brought the fun. This year's Eggstravaganza theme was "Animated Characters".

We shall now display our creations for you.

Spencer's Eggs

Shrek and Eve

The completion of the minion, my crowning work of the day.

All ready to carry out evil schemes!

Po the Dragon Warrior

Brooke's Eggs

The chameleon from "Tangled"

First you were like, "whoa" then we were like "WHOA!", then you were like, "whoa..."

Nemo isn't actually mine. It's Dana's. But they belonged together :)

Everyone else's eggs too

The cat got in on the action as well. Not entirely his choice though...

Purple and green seemed to be the best dyes for him!

Happy Easter!

Today after class, I decided to make some Easter sugar cookies :) I had a lot of fun making them and decorating them. I think they turned out pretty cute. Spencer thinks they turned out pretty tasty.
Except for when Brooke wouldn't let me have one, and chased me from the kitchen saying "they weren't done yet!" Eventually she came around. Very tasty.

Spencer made dinner tonight too. I wasn't allowed to know what he was up to, because it was a surprise. And he surprised me with German pancakes. They were good! I ate a lot too. So we decided to go for a walk after dinner. We ended up at Dollar Tree :) We found ourselves some cheap entertainment. But we had tons of fun. It's only two blocks away, but it took us three times the time to get back. Mostly because we had bought ourselves some bubbles :) and we were playing with them on the way home.

There we were, just playing with our bubbles, when we heard someone yell "Wait! Bubbles", and there was some random guy, running at us and asked if he could have a turn blowing bubbles too. hahaha. Spencer let him have a couple tries on his bubble wand. He told us he thought we were awesome. He departed with a "I love you guys. Take care!"  I think all of the cars we walked past thought we were obnoxious because they were getting bubble splatters all over their cars. We eventually made it the two blocks home. Then continued to play with our bubbles.

Look! Daffodils!!

We also grabbed some sidewalk chalk while we were getting our bubbles. Spencer wanted me to draw an outline of him on the sidewalk. So I did. One lady walked past while we were doing this and said, "Are you serious?" and then she laughed. I think we entertained more than just ourselves tonight. But don't you worry. We drew some other pictures too :)

Rude Awakening for Spencer

This morning while I was showering, I noticed that the water wasn't really draining. I hurried and got out and when I did, the toilet was overflowing and the floor was covered in cold water. I grabbed Spencer (still mostly asleep) and we tried to clean it up the best we could. Basically we just covered the floor in towels.

Spencer spent a good portion of the morning seeing what he could do to fix the problem. We both had to be to early class though, so we really didn't have a lot of time to do much. I think Spenc just shut off the water in there.

But now the management guys are here fixing it. So here is to hoping we get this worked out soon. Poor Spencer had to get up earlier than usual and he didn't get a shower either. Should all be fixed in a little while.

And that was our fun morning :)

Fantastic Weather

This weekend has been pretty chill for us. Last night we watched Inception because Spencer hadn't seen it yet. Today was super nice outside. It was at 50 pretty much all day. (Right now it's 11:03 at night and it's still 43 degrees outside!)

This morning we went to the Salt Lake Temple to do initiatories. It was the first time for me going back to do that since going through the temple for myself. So I had forgotten a lot of what is said and it was really good for me to go back and be reminded of all the promises.

We did some Costco exploring after that because I finally ordered pictures from our wedding day. Now I just have to figure out where I'm putting them :) After that we came home, had lunch, and then biked to the City Library. We spent quite a while there checking what they had in all 5 of the levels. I think we'll be going back quite a bit. Especially since Spencer found the dvd selection of Charlie Brown movies. We just got one to start with and, one of my favorite movies, IQ :) The bike ride let me know how out of shape I am though. Riding to the library was all downhill. . . which means that coming back was all uphill. I was dying by the end. Spencer was laughing but still patient with me. He's a good one to have around.

This evening, we caught a choir concert at the Tabernacle. It was really awesome! They sang a lot of cool Broadway and classics like Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly, Sound of Music, Cats, and even Footloose. Some soloists sang too and they were phenomenal! The one duet that they sang was super funny. It was called "Therapy (tick, tick......boom)", and basically it was a couple trying to express their feelings. It was so funny! I had never heard it before. Makes me a little curious to know what it is from.

We watched some Charlie Brown and then Spencer was gracious enough to watch IQ with me. I love Meg Ryan movies :) And that one is probably the funniest. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. It was one of those movies my mom and I would always watch. That, and anything with Bing Crosby in it :) (Hey Spencer, I know what we should watch next!)
