Saturday Day Date

Spencer really wanted to go to Tracy Aviary at some point this summer, and today we crossed it off our "Summer Bucket List". It was really hot outside but the Aviary was mostly shaded and had misting fans that were pretty awesome. We took a lot of pictures :)

Spencer's the bird expert though. I just went because they have pretty colors.

Andy the Andean Condor.  Brooke thought he was ugly.

Golden Eagles

'Murica

I just wanted a picture with a Peacock :)

And the colorful birds
(Scarlet Ibis)

The Toucan

This is Picasso :) Picasso is very pretty... and like to paint. She was actually named that so they could train her how to paint. It was totally set up. But still very cool.

Ruddy Duck

We had fun :) We're going back to Liberty Park later this afternoon when it cools down to just hang out there. It's chill day for us.

Hey Dad! You should come with us next time! ;D

Manti Mormon Miracle Pageant

We got up yesterday morning and drove down to Manti. We stopped at the cemetery in Ephraim and Spencer showed me where his great-grandparents and some other relatives were buried. Then we drove the rest of the way to Manti, got some lunch, and went to the 12:30 temple session there. Totes awesome! I love the inside of the Manti temple! It looks way cool and has a lot more color than I was expecting. Especially in the all the rooms for the Endowment session. The walls are way cool! But I like the architecture of the inside the most. It reminded me of something my mom would really like.

We were staying the night there with Grandpa Wallace's cousin Carol. She was so awesome! She let us hang around her place and helped us get the best seats in the house. She's been doing this for years and has picked out the best spots for seats. We just had to go down a little early to stake our claim :) (We saved almost 40 seats there! Carol takes big groups down.)

We did a little exploring too. We found a candy shop and got some candy (obviously) and ice-cream! We were also trying to wave at cars that drove past us while we were enjoying our ice-cream... but we only got one guy to wave back.

Dinner was good! The locals do a lot of cool stuff for the pageant, and I ate so much it felt like Thanksgiving at Grandma B's! But we made it to the pageant, had Carol's expertise in finding a good parking spot that was close and could still make a fast get-away, and then we enjoyed seeing the cast members walking around and talking to everyone.

Spencer missed this one. Our other picture didn't actually turn out. But it was still cool.

Us with Carol. We owe her! She is awesome!

The pageant was great! I really liked how they did the story and incorporated so much about liberty and freedom being a blessing from God in the American continent. (The girl from Bountiful who sang the National Anthem was flipping amazing! **sidenote**) They talked about Captain Moroni and then George Washington and then the Mormon Battalion. They tied it all together a lot better than I did just there. I only cried a couple times. I was crying right at the start though because they depict the first vision. I'm just a cry baby.

We weren't too tired afterwards, but the traffic is apparently ridiculous. So we stayed at Carol's and drove early the next morning. We made back for church with plenty of time to spare. We just crashed really hard after church.

Soccer Tournament

On Friday, we spent the morning watching soccer games of Nate and Tanner. They both did awesome and had great wins! We had fun! And I did not get sunburned. (always a plus!)

Nate's team won 4-0!

Tanner's team ended up taking 2nd in the tourney!

Sshhh! He didn't want this picture. Mwaha

Sleep Over

My cousin Brandon got married on... yesterday. So after the MTC, my family stayed out this way for the wedding. Spencer and I had to work so we missed everything but the reception. (Sorry guys!) But we drove to Bountiful and saw more family there. Sarah's reception was very pretty! I liked it. And they served ice-cream. Which I also like. Before you signed at the table in line, they had a photo booth and you kept one copy and signed next to the other one in their book. A really fun idea!

But Sarah, we are sorry. We didn't get any other pictures. We kinda left a little early....

Because....

Brynne and Cache were having a sleep over with us! And Cache really really really wanted to ride on "THE TRAIN". So we drove downtown, parked the car, and walked to the closest trax station. We rode on the Green Line three stations down, and rode on the Blue Line the three stations back. Cache thought it was pretty cool since he's never seen anything like it.

We took some pictures along the way too.

Waiting for the train. A whole 7 minutes! It was like..forever!

Then we got on :)

Pretty excited

Above: Cache's face as the train turned the corner.

But we had fun!

Then we went home, had some cinnamon roll cake (in honor of Cache's birthday, June 12th), and we watched Hogan's Heroes until Brynne couldn't keep her eyes open anymore (which did not take long) and asked us if we "can go to bed now". They slept pretty soundly all night. I think we wore them out.

This morning I made breakfast pizza, (only not as good as Dad's) and then the little people and I walked over to the church parking lot where Spencer was waiting to give us all scooter rides.

Needless to say, they had fun with that :) Brynne yelped every time Spencer went over a bump. haha. Then we went back home, placed a game of 'Sorry', Mom and Dad and Cole came to get  'em and that was that. Hope they had fun. I know they kept us pretty entertained.
