Oklahoma State Fair

We decided we needed to go to the Oklahoma State Fair before we were done with grad school. Might as well take advantage of it while we're here. It just took us for years to do it... Oh well. There was so much to see. Kadee didn't know where to look for the first minutes. The first thing we did was make our way inside. It was A LOT cooler in there and we found come cute hair clips for Kadee...one of which she did not take off for the rest of the day.

We say sheep, horses, and cows. Kadee was super fascinated by the cow milking demonstration! She talked about that one for a long time after. We also saw baby goats and some huge rabbits. The big farris wheel was also pretty awesome. Kadee liked it a lot.

Kadee LOVED the baby chicks! It took a lot of convincing to get her to leave them.

Chickens, bees, and spiders. (Note, Mommy took the last picture from far away!)

The giant corn dog was definitely a big win for Kadee. She ate all but the very end! The car was just cool because it was pink.

September Zoo Day

Kadee and I picked a rainy day this week to go to the zoo. It was perfect. The animals were super playful and we had lots of fun.

Kadee checking out the Okapi

Emu. Or as Kadee says, "Big birdie".

The rattle snakes were terribly fascinating!

Kadee didn't quite get how to stretch her arms out. We tried.

The baby gorilla was so playful and fun!

This silly chimp kept running back and forth across the window with Kadee and then it would slap the glass and scare her. They did this several times but, of course, never when I could get a video.

We met a tortoise who is 102 years old. Apparently she's still in her prime.
