Thanksgiving in Missouri

Jay and Lara just moved into their new house in St. Joseph less than a week before Thanksgiving. But they still didn't mind having us come to stay with them and celebrate all the food together. Their house is beautiful and we really enjoyed spending time with them there. Kadee was very quick to make new friends.
Kadee really likes Micah. He is officially the only other person other than her parents that got her to laugh.
Kadee was so tired after so much play on Wednesday. She just couldn't stay awake.
Spencer even had a little bit of time for studying. Video taken by Annika.

Thanksgiving Day pictures from Lara :)

I made Grandma B's cheese ball and strawberry cheesecake. Both quickly turning into Thanksgiving traditions for me. Oh, I made Texas Roadhouse rolls too - another recipe I will keep as a Thanksgiving tradition.
We played lots of games. We liked "quip lash". It's cool. Google it.

We went on a walk outside on Friday. Wednesday was gloomy, but Friday was nice and sunny. Felt more like September than it did like the end of November.

Kadee did very very well on the drive. Spencer and I took turns driving and sitting in the back with her. Spencer started in the back with her (both ways) so he got all the stories and fun times and I got her while she was sleepy. I guess you could say that Kadee got me while I was sleepy too though.
Here is our progression of falling asleep. It really didn't take long. (Some day Kadee is going to be all exasperated saying, "Mom?! Did you have to record everything I did???" To which I am going to reply, "Yes. Yes I did.")

After we made our one stop to gas up, change a diaper, and switch drivers, Kadee slept the rest of the four hours home. She wears a bib while we travel so she doesn't end up covered in her own spit - the bib gets covered instead.

Thanks Jay, Lara, and offspring for letting us come to see you guys! We had a great time and all of the food was most excellent!

So Adorable!

For the last 2 weeks Spencer has been telling everyone that he is the only one who has gotten Kadee to laugh. However, that it no longer true!! She laughed a bunch for me last night. This little baby makes me so happy. She is the cutest!
She is also quite funny.

Kadee and I are very fond of naps. It's really exciting at our house around us.

She also helps her Daddy with his homework. They are study buddies. It's pretty adorable. I just can't get over how fast she is growing and how much older she already looks.

Kadee is such a big girl and makes her Mommy so proud. We are at a point with her now that we just lay her in her crib at night, give her a kiss on the forehead, and wait and watch for her to fall asleep on her own. She is getting quite good at it!

Growing much too fast for me. I enjoy watching her as she develops though. It's so fun to watch her learn so many new things. Grabbing her toes (as pictured above) is the newest thing she's learned. We sure do love our smart little bug!

Jabber Vids

Starting last weekend, Kadee has been quite the talker. She jabbers much more all of a sudden. I think she mostly likes to tell her Daddy stories, but she will also talk to me on our way to school in the morning. And for some reason, Kadee is a very happy baby on her changing table. I get lots of stories and jabber there. I try to catch as much of it as I can whenever I can

Halloween!!

For Family Home Evening, Spencer and I carved pumpkins. Kadee watched us but she was very supportive.

We had our ward Trunk or Treat on Wednesday before Halloween. Spencer and I dressed up as Jedi and we had our little Yoda that we packed around all night. She was pretty adorable and even held on to her little glow stick that we used as her lightsaber.

3 Months Old!

I feel like every time I turn around this little girl has grown so much! I seriously picked her up from daycare a couple days ago and my thought was, "Holy crap! You did not grow that much hair in one day?!" She really did look different. Her hair is coming back in now and I am hoping that it stays dark. The little stinker rubbed off all of her dark, pretty newborn hair.

Kadee has started blowing spit bubbles lately. At first it was more like a brass buzz, but now it's just spit. She mostly talks when she's upset, but it is so cute that we let her be upset for a few minutes first. Kadee is also super close to rolling over! She almost squirms right off of Spencer's lap. We're having to watch her a little more closely now.
