Thanksgiving in Missouri

Jay and Lara just moved into their new house in St. Joseph less than a week before Thanksgiving. But they still didn't mind having us come to stay with them and celebrate all the food together. Their house is beautiful and we really enjoyed spending time with them there. Kadee was very quick to make new friends.
Kadee really likes Micah. He is officially the only other person other than her parents that got her to laugh.
Kadee was so tired after so much play on Wednesday. She just couldn't stay awake.
Spencer even had a little bit of time for studying. Video taken by Annika.

Thanksgiving Day pictures from Lara :)

I made Grandma B's cheese ball and strawberry cheesecake. Both quickly turning into Thanksgiving traditions for me. Oh, I made Texas Roadhouse rolls too - another recipe I will keep as a Thanksgiving tradition.
We played lots of games. We liked "quip lash". It's cool. Google it.

We went on a walk outside on Friday. Wednesday was gloomy, but Friday was nice and sunny. Felt more like September than it did like the end of November.

Kadee did very very well on the drive. Spencer and I took turns driving and sitting in the back with her. Spencer started in the back with her (both ways) so he got all the stories and fun times and I got her while she was sleepy. I guess you could say that Kadee got me while I was sleepy too though.
Here is our progression of falling asleep. It really didn't take long. (Some day Kadee is going to be all exasperated saying, "Mom?! Did you have to record everything I did???" To which I am going to reply, "Yes. Yes I did.")

After we made our one stop to gas up, change a diaper, and switch drivers, Kadee slept the rest of the four hours home. She wears a bib while we travel so she doesn't end up covered in her own spit - the bib gets covered instead.

Thanks Jay, Lara, and offspring for letting us come to see you guys! We had a great time and all of the food was most excellent!
