No More Math!

Yesterday, Spencer had his Calculus II final. So while he was busy with working and with final-ing, I made a cake. We decided to copy Jay and Lara, and we had a "No More Math" party last night. We just had to wait until I got home from work. But we had a banana-cinnamon cake that I made and we had our own celebration.

I went to put the candle on the cake and Spencer said "No! No numbers!" But I told him I was going to light it on fire so it would make it better. It was just fun. (I believe that candle was just left from my birthday.)

No more math!
We had a toga part of the party too but decided not to take pictures of that one. haha. But Spencer sure looks great in a pink (sheet) toga. Sometimes we just like to have fun.

This was a (slash) no-more-Musicianship-for-Brooke party as well. But I felt like accomplishing all that horrible math was more worth the celebration. Way to be Spencer! :)

I am a Child of God

We had nursery today and last night we had fun getting our ideas together for it. We had more fun with it today though :)

The first thing we did was download some calming primary songs and just played them on Spencer's zune/speakers as the kids came. (Thanks for that idea Ann Marie!!) It must have had some effect because the kids were pretty darn tranquil today. We were totally ok with that. Our one kid who is pretty wild walked in and then laid on the ground for the first twenty minutes. And we were totally content to just leave him there.

Spencer was really excited to take bubbles with us today. I think he had just as much fun with them as all the kids did.

One of my favorite pictures :)

The hat says "I am a Child of God". That's the one song they know really well.. so we just made that song our lesson. John here, had to be bribed a little in class, but he was good so we pulled out the bubbles again at the end.

This is my other favorite picture :)

Getting ready for Finals

This post is a week late but....

Last Sunday I had a fantastic nap. I woke up and decided I wanted to get baking. I made a bunch of stuff so we could just grab it to eat while we were studying for finals. I made blueberry muffins, breakfast-hashbrown-egg-muffin things, beef and broccoli hot pockets, and then I made a crock-pot break fast for the next morning. It all turned out rather well. And we ate them all throughout the week.

This is Spencer.... studying for finals week.

Finals are coming!!

This was kind of a random made-sense-in-my-head creation. But Spencer ate most of them (I had some too) and liked them so I would say it's a win.

Spencer said, "You should take a nap like that every day!" :) haha. Man, do I love him! Now... wish us luck!!
