Zoo Day With Grandma & Grandpa

Day 2

We had so much fun at the zoo. It was the perfect day for the zoo too! Everyone was pretty worn out by the end of the day. Kadee definitely was! I think Kadee really liked having the extra attention this time. She was so happy to walk around from glass to glass with Grandma following her.

We packed a lunch. Kadee just wanted a "happle".

Everyone was so tired.

Spencer picked a Vietnamese place for dinner tonight. His bowl he ordered was so huge! The four of us would never have been able eat it all, let alone just Spencer working on it. Kadee was supposed to share my rice with me. She got a little preoccupied playing with Grandma's chop sticks. But she also was NOT into eating very much. She did not like Grandma's noodles or any veggies either. Strange for this girl, but oh well.

After Kadee went to bed we had a sampling of one of our soda's from Pops66. We tried the maple bacon first. Spencer thought it was "maple-y". Allen did too. Carrie didn't like it. She said, "that tastes terrible." I had a hard time getting past the burnt bacon smell. And I think it tasted like burnt bacon. So much burned smell. We'll try another later. Spencer added, "It's not absolutely fantastic like Pony Malta. But it's alright."

Grandma & Grandpa in Oklahoma

Day 1

Grandma Carrie and Grandpa Allen came to visit Kadee in Oklahoma. We were excited to go pick them up at the airport and Kadee had so much fun playing up and down the escalators. She loved it. She kept saying "Wow! Wow!", but in an awed, whisper voice. Ha!
She even liked just watching the escalators move.

Grandpa sat in the back with Kadee in the car and won her love with Twizzlers and a fish toy. She also drank all of his water. And when we stopped at the grocery store, he bought her a "happle". The apple kept her happy in the car on the way home.

While we were waiting for Spencer to get out of class Kadee had fun dancing and reading books with Grandma. She also got a little tired, but there was too much going on for her to really take a nap.

Wednesday night we went to Pops66 with Grandma and Grandpa. Kadee ate and ate and ate french fries. She really liked them and was even kind enough to share them with Grandma too. Then we played outside so Kadee wouldn't break any of the soda bottles. They have SO many weird and crazy flavors to choose from. We saw Honey, Maple Bacon, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Huckleberry, Ranch, Serrano Pepper, and lots more.

More sharing with Grandma

 Peak a boo!

When we got home Kadee got a bath and went straight to bed!

Halloween '17

I thought I had a pretty great idea for our Halloween costumes this year. We like to plan way in advance and coordinate with the three of us. Kadee had a lot of important input this year as well (NOT!). I worked on most of it and Kadee just watched. Our characters were perfect for us since I'm so short and Spencer is tall, and well... Kadee is the princess.

Plus! We won in the "best couples costume" category.

We had lots of fun with our costumes at the trunk or treat. I made it so the mustaches would come off easily to eat dinner. And they stuck on pretty well too. Kadee and I also joined Spencer at institute in costume. Actually, I was making the institute lunch again so it made it even easier for us to show up in costume! We had fun. We did not wear our mustaches to institute since we were there to eat lunch.

I wasn't going to take Kadee out on Halloween night to trick-or-treat, but a friend who lives close asked us to go with them so we went for a little while. We lasted long enough to get to 5 or 6 houses and then it was too cold for Kadee to continue. Plus it was way past her bed time. She loved it though. She got to hang out with some kids and see a few puppies at the houses we went to. One lady was super nice and let the kids see the puppy. I think that it was made it worth it for Kadee, not the candy.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Fall Family Fun

*Warning: I took A LOT of pictures*

With the help of my friend Google, we found a fun pumpkin patch to go to. Park Hurst Pumpkin Patch. It was a little ways away but totally worth it. Kadee had so much fun! She was kind of tired and grumpy on the way there. In fact, she fell asleep with less than 10 minutes to go. But I think her little power nap helped her to fully enjoy herself. Because she did. I knew she would like it. We didn't do the hay ride, but we had fun with the petting zoo and the corn maze and the play forts and the hay.

The geese were super loud but I think all of the other animals were just tired.

The hay and the slides (in my observing opinion) were Kadee's favorite part. Although, the animals were super awesome too. She was a little wary of the slide at first, she just likes to climb on the bottom and sit on it, but I think she grew to like it more.

This is probably my favorite picture ever!

They also had some little tepee things which Kadee had fun running around in. I stood on one side and Spencer stood on the other, and Kadee would just run back and forth between the two.

I have to call this one my second favorite picture.

And we played in the corn maze. Kadee just wanted to touch and pull on all the corn.

We were going to push her around but she was more content to just sit there.

On the way out we picked out our pumpkins to take home. We let Kadee pick. But I think she just wanted to eat them because she sure tried to.

On the way home we stopped at Pops 66. It's a super cool soda place. One of the ladies working there told Spencer (since it was our first time) that we should come back on a week day when it's not super crowded. I think we shall.

By this time Kadee was very tired, ready to go home, and very ready for bed.
