10/11 Months Old

We aren't always very good at getting pictures each month, but we try.

Kadee is getting so big! I just can't believe it. The year is flying by! I want time to slow down at least a little so my baby can stay a baby for a little longer. Although... she really isn't much of a baby any more. She is super curious and learning new things every day! She has taken a while to get some teeth in but they sure to look cute.

Haslem Family Reunion

I missed the last Haslem reunion when we first moved to Oklahoma. So I was super excited for this one! Kadee was the youngest one there but I think she did a pretty good job with it.

Kadee, for some reason, really liked my Mom's water bottle.

  

Kadee wasn't super into the idea of being held by anyone other than her Mom or Dad. She had some attachment issues I guess. But I was very proud of her - she did a great job sleeping in the tent. It got a little cold at night so we snuggled and all was well. She was a good little camper.

By the end of our summer travels Kadee was very sick of being in the car!

Cole's Mission Farewell and Father's Day

After Lake Powell we got the chance to go to the temple with Tanner. Kadee stayed with my family. She did not have a good time. She cried and cried and cried. Lots of mommy attachment issues. Apparently Brynne is the only one she would let hold her. It was the first time since daycare that we had both left Kadee with someone else.

Cole was giving his mission talk that Sunday. We got there early because it has been super crowded in my parent's ward ever since they combined 3rd and 10th wards. (I guess there weren't enough people to fill needed positions in two, but there definitely are now that they made them one.) Kadee did not want to sit still in church though. I could also tell she was getting tired and cranky so Spencer ended up packing her out under his arm, the diaper bag under the other arm, and he spent the whole meeting in the foyer with her finally falling asleep across his lap. Luckily for me, Carrie caught a picture of it! He is such a good day on this Father's Day! (Note the bunny behind his head that he is using as a pillow.)

Cole gave a great talk and a very good tribute to Dad for Father's Day. It made me cry and I know it definitely made Mom cry. Cole is a good kid. He will be a great missionary in St. Louis, Missouri.
It was fun to see all the aunts and uncles and cousins. Really great especially since that is probably the only time this year that we will see most of them. A good time was had by all.

Lake Powell

Yes, we're crazy. We drove all night long to get to Lake Powell but we made it and we had a great time. Kadee was definitely sick of the car and car seat by the time we got there! We were all about to go crazy the last hour of the drive. But did survive and we had so much fun.

We also had fun kayaking and I enjoyed wake boarding and tubing while Spencer liked water skiing.

Kadee also enjoyed her time at Grandma's after the lake.

We decided to sleep in our tent at Grandma's house for a couple of nights to test out how Kadee would do before we headed to Hanna to the Haslem reunion. It proved to be a great idea because we quickly learned that our air mattress had a leak in it. Found us another one before we left so it wouldn't happen again!

Kadee gets so happy when her Daddy comes home. Spencer is always very good at taking time to play with her when he isn't working. Kadee will even wait and watch out the window for Spencer to come home. They are quite the pair!

SUmMeR!!

Spencer got out of school earlier than I did. So for a couple of weeks it was just Kadee and Daddy. I would get at least one adorable picture each day while I was teaching. They started off the summer well.

Then it was my turn to have fun with Kadee while Daddy was working.

We really enjoy the days when we are all together!
